Can residents collect more than 1,000 toys and beat previous festive collections?

The people of Cheam are being challenged to beat last year’s Christmas Charity Appeal by Access Self Storage where over 1,000 donations were given to local charities.

Now in its fourth year, the Christmas Appeal has seen thousands of donations collected- enough to fill 50 storage rooms at the Cheam store – and over 100 charities and hospices helped across the UK.

As of today, Bric-a-Brac can be dropped off at the Access store on Oldfields Road, Sutton, where staff are hoping to fill an entire storage unit for Wandsworth Oasis, before Christmas.

The donations will provide some seasonal joy to the people living with HIV in Wandsworth.

“We are in the fourth year of our annual charity appeal, which runs across the UK. Every year we partner with fantastic charities that work tirelessly to ensure their beneficiaries have a better Christmas. We are calling on local businesses and residents in Cheam to please get behind the appeal and support the incredible work carried out by Wandsworth Oasis” said Kevin Pratt, Access Self Storage spokesman.

Gill Perkins from Wandsworth Oasis said: “The amazing donations collected will bring real cheer to our beneficiaries over Christmas time. A huge thank you to anyone who gets into the spirit of Christmas and makes a donation.”

People have until Monday 7 December to drop off donations on Oldfields Road, Sutton, allowing plenty of time for delivery to Wandsworth Oasis, ready for Christmas.

A drop-off point will be open from October 26th at:
