Wandsworth Oasis’ shops are the lifeblood of the charity, and the volunteers who work in them are THE most important part of our distinctive and friendly locations around Wandsworth and Lambeth.
We couldn’t keep our group of charity shops open without the incredible, dedicated support of our volunteers. They sort and price donations, keep the shops tidy, create window displays, do the admin and cashing up, and provide support at fundraising events.
Apply to be a volunteer today – it’s quick and easy
We need volunteers in all our charity shops and to help out with events and fundraising. If you are interested in applying as a volunteer at Wandsworth Oasis, you can do so here. Please note, our volunteers need to be 18 years or over.
Become a trustee
Help shape the future of Wandsworth Oasis. We are recruiting two new trustees, including a Treasurer, to help guide our charity and strengthen our work supporting people affected by HIV.
Our charity shops generate funds for our charitable mission. As a trustee, you will contribute to our strategic direction, oversee our finances and resources, and support our leadership team as we develop a sustainable future.
We welcome people with a range of skills and backgrounds. Experience in finance, retail, business strategy, governance, HR, law, property, partnerships or the HIV and health sector would be particularly valuable. Previous trustee experience is welcome but not essential — commitment to our mission, sound judgement and a willingness to contribute are key.
Trustee roles are voluntary and unpaid. The commitment includes quarterly Board meetings, reading papers beforehand, and contributing to discussions and occasional additional meetings between scheduled meetings. Induction and relevant governance training will be provided.
To request the full role profile, arrange an informal conversation or express your interest, please email office@wandsworthoasis.org.uk.
